Evidence beats confidence
A seller's certainty is not evidence. Neither is a stage name. The product will tell a seller their deal is weaker than they think, because that is the only version of the truth worth having before a board meeting.
About us
Sales Commander is a company with a purpose beyond itself. We are building it to build a children's hospice.
The goal
Bright Haven is a children's hospice. It does not exist yet. We intend to build it.
A place of joy, dignity and light, where families find rest, wonder and time together. Not a clinical building with a garden attached, but somewhere designed from the first brick around peace, fun and light to fulfil every child's day.
Every investment a customer makes in Sales Commander is an investment in our dream: building a haven for children to embrace every day with light, and for their families to have a sanctuary to treasure moments.
When Bright Haven is built there will be a plaque at the entrance, and it will name every company that bought Sales Commander and made it possible.
Not sponsors. Not donors. Customers. Every organisation that put a seller on the platform will have its name on the wall of a children's hospice, because the revenue that built it came from them.
In the meantime, all profits from Julian's books go to Chestnut Tree House Children's Hospice, and will continue to.
Sales Commander is founded by Julian Reading and Michael Turner. Julian spent thirty five years in enterprise sales, leadership and methodology. He is the author of six books on sales methodology and the creator of the Eight Pillars, the framework the product runs on. Michael has spent his career in enterprise sales, primarily for the last twenty seven years at Oracle working with major clients.
Julian has trained qualification at Elastic, JLL, Commvault and Oracle.
Sales Commander is not a technology product. It is by sales people, for sales people. Over seventy years of enterprise complex deal experience, embedding not theory but proven win tactics throughout the sales cycle, to drive our unique next best selling action.
Pipeline is full and the forecast is fiction. Not because sellers lie, but because nobody can tell the difference between a deal that is really progressing and one that merely feels like it is.
Sales Commander scores a deal on the evidence behind it, across the Eight Pillars: Metrics, Economic Buyer, Decision Criteria, Decision Process, Path to Payment, Identify Compelling Event, Champion and Competition. Evidence, not opinion. If the evidence is not there, the score says so.
A seller's certainty is not evidence. Neither is a stage name. The product will tell a seller their deal is weaker than they think, because that is the only version of the truth worth having before a board meeting.
A score can fall, and a fall is a fall. Nothing is smoothed to make a screen more comfortable. When the system has not been told something, it says so rather than guessing.
Sellers see their own progress, not a ranking against colleagues. Managers see the team. Comparison is a management tool, not a motivational one.
Every judgement in the product is labelled with where it came from: verified, Commander assessed, user assessed or calculated. You should always be able to see the difference between a fact and an inference.
If you want to see the product, or ask how any of this works, we will answer within one business day.
Bright Haven is our goal, not a built facility, and not a registered charity. Nothing on this page should be read as a claim that it exists today, or as a binding financial commitment. It is what we are working toward.
